The GCDG Fresh Meat process is divided into two steps... Fresh Meat (FM) and Rotten Meat (RM). FM and RM are required to attend specific practices, participate in offskates, street team events, volunteer as non skating officials and eventually become a member of one or more committees on the league. Once they have completed the process they then move onto become a Rookie. At GCDG the process takes between 2 and 6 months... the length of time is based on the individual skater. No matter how long the process takes, it is a huge accomplishment to become a GCDG Rookie!
